I've also learned that Canada has never declared war but has kicked the shit out of invaders so yeah I can agree with that.

I'm seriously considering moving to Canada. I must say, being a queer, atheist, anti hunting, anarchic, feminine leaning, vegan person in the Bible Belt of America is really not working out for me atm. I think I'd do better with a change of scenery. Plus Toronto and Montreal look beautiful. Also Degrassi

I could see how that could be tough placement for you then, the southern states can be crazy but i also think that the people down there are some of the kindest people ever. i love how people will just strike up conversation with anyone in the south and it isnt weird.
Canada is beautiful though, and Edmonton (where i live) kind of has my heart despite there being some small things about it that suck (lack of tours is a big one, but whatever i guess). here is a picture of my city to brag about how pretty it is!


Also not to mention Canada gives the world Japandroids, The Weakerthans, Propagandhi, F*cked Up, Purity Ring, the list goes ONNNNNNN

Yeah there are certainly benefits to the south for sure, but I live in a little retiree beach town so it's A LOT of old white people. Some are nice, most aren't. I hear so many racist and homophobic slurs on the daily, not directed at me or anything just in general. It's sad

The closest thing I have to a vegan restaurant nearby is the local Chilis that I used to work at, they have black bean burgers and stuff like that

Japandroids Have Been Just As Mysterious And Missed As Frank Ocean

great article. Calling Celebration Rock the "Pulp Fiction of indie rock" is weirdly accurate and a really cool way to put it. If Japandroids never follow up CR then I'd be ok with it because CR is such a fantastic album.

 

I'm not sure I get that comparison, haha.
