He emailed Phil Spencer about it and nothing was done? That's surprising. I'm guessing he didn't see the email. He probably gets thousands of emails a day. I can't even keep up with the low amount of notifications I get on twitter.

Everyone was threatening to leave Mixer and stream somewhere else because of this. Mixer was like "nah, WE are leaving YOU"

 

I mean, I don't think that's a good enough excuse at all. If something is emailed to management then it needs responding to - issues not being dealt with is PRECISELY the reason why someone would feel the need to raise it with senior management. He likely has at least one PA who has access to his emails and whose job it is to prioritise what he needs to deal with and what they can respond to on his behalf.

 

I'm aware that he probably has a PA. But you seem to think there's an "excuse" better than not seeing the email. There isn't. There is no excuse that can explain inaction if he saw the email.

 

So despite having someone employed whose job it literally is to look at every email, it's okay to say action wasn't taken because no one saw the email? Emails don't disappear into thin air, so someone must have seen it. That's my point. Maybe the PA deleted the email thinking it wasn't important, but then that's even worse. A member of staff emailing to state they've experienced racial discrimination doesn't get followed up on. That's a huge, huge issue.

 

Don't fucking put words into my mouth. EVER. I never said and never will say that it's okay action wasn't taken. I get that this issue is sensitive and to be taken seriously, but don't pull that shit with me again. That's some bad faith nonsense.

If his PA fucked up with the emails, which is probably what happened, then clearly something needs to be done about it. Whether how they filter and categorize each email, or if it's worse that they read the email and thought it wasn't important, then they need to be disciplined or even fired.

But I was talking about Phil personally seeing the email. If he saw the email and did nothing, there's absolutely no excuse that could explain it.

People blocked me because of my opinions on video games. But if you wanna block me because I'm pissed off that you argued in bad faith? Go ahead. I've got no issue with that.

 

Seems like people might block you cause you fly off the handle and twist a conversation where we were both effectively on the same page into some sort of a personal attack and come across as a bit of a prick. But maybe it's just because you like bad games too idk.
