After about 3 listens its growing on me ha I think I dig it!

 

Awful move to call the single by that title, but the song sounds good from that clip, especially AJ’s voice.

 

From what AJ said in that Deleted post, this is the last song with Ben on drums

 

Fingers crossed that it's good, I wanna cheer these guys on

They make some great songs, but man, the immaturity is always so present with them haha

his voice does sound “cleaner” - maybe he’s at least taking care of that

 

I’m sure the drinking and stuff doesn’t help. But he’s fluctuated in weight for the entirety of them being a band.
Not a huge deal tbh.

 

Yeah naming the song that and the label that, while also trying to begin a new independent venture is just ???

However, they’ll keep cranking out solid tunes which is great.

 

I thought we had collectively agreed as decent human beings that saying things like that about someone’s weight is kinda bullshit? Definitely shouldn’t be your first thought when you check out a preview for a new music video, and even if it is, maybe you should keep it to yourself...

Some take aways/cliff notes from that live stream ^

-The Reason they started a new Dangerous Summer Youtube was AJ was unable to gain access to their old old Youtube from back in the day. Sounded like a forgotten login almost. As he said- " Youtube are impossible"

- They addressed the Ben leaving briefly, they said its nothing but love. He has a new band called Dim coming out ( I think with the touring guitarist they had on the mother nature tour) they didn't say " why" he left. But i think its cause Ben wants to start this new project. If i recall correctly Ben left before on the Golden record tour ( but I think that may have been a wrist issue) they seem to genuinely have love for him and his future as they said to check out his band

-Aaron Gillespse is not only on 6 songs on the EP . He will also be on tour with them spring next year ( they said whenever he was available he would be drumming for them basically)

-every song on the EP is different Stylistically. They said the next song is complete opposite of Fuck them all

-AJ wants us to Pre Save

 

I think Mother Nature is far and away their best record, so I'm excited to see what's next, but the clip of that single isn't doing much for me.

AJ has always sort of rubbed me the wrong way, though. Love his music, but it always seems like he's really hyper focused on drugs/partying. It's hard for me to articulate exactly what I mean without sounding like a pretentious dick, but usually, with bands I love, the members are often people I could see myself associating with if the opportunity arose. I never get that vibe from him.

It's like his personality doesn't jive with how he writes at all.

 

I can't remember the last time I saw AJ and he wasn't wearing that same black button down shirt and black jeans.

Which I'm fine with, cuz my dresser is filled with a dozen of the same navy blue tees and black skinny jeans

 

Was all the partying and drugs and it entering the lyrics too, was that all post reunion ? Seemed like it

 

Why do these guys hate the mall so much?

 

Song sounds great wish I didn't have to wait 20 days to hear the whole thing.

Reach For the Sun and If You Could Only... both have references to drugs and drinking.

 

I love this bands music but they have the most annoying persona
