News on once the clouds are gone. Prestigious

Nah, Anton doesn't counter his own points

2-4 seems doable out of the gate. I don't see them winning anything else outside of the two weak OOC games. I have zero faith in a Muschamp offense, especially one with Roper, the QB situation, and no Cooper. The defense might turn out actually pretty decent this year but they will be exhausted from being on the field all game long. I'm sure they'll sneak a surprise win in here or there, but five would be a surprise to me and anything more would be crazy.

I have a hard time taking someone seriously who can't use context clues.

Fair enough. But you just said 2-4 seems doable out of the gate and then you said 2 easy OOC wins that's saying 6 is doable which is exactly what I said. So what exactly are you getting on my case for?

The beautiful part is you don't have to converse with me, which is completely fine

Buddy. That's 4 wins. I don't think they win a game in conference this season. Maybe vandy. I don't know what else to say here.

    2 wins, 4 losses.

Sorry you still didn't write clearly enough. I read it as 2 to 4 wins. Vandy and Kentucky are winnable games. Mississippi State will be the worst team in the west so it could be won. East Carolina is winnable. Mizzou is winnable. And then the easy OOC games should be wins.

The worst team in the west is better than 3/4 of the east. Get real dude.

I would imagine any sports fan would be able to suss out 2-4 means two wins four losses but I guess not

We'll see. I never said it was a certainty. Just said its winnable. No big deal. Just my opinion.

Or I actually don't stick to reading about my team and I actually write about college football for another website. That fact aside, I read about my conference not my team. Because what my team can do is irrelevant if I don't know what everyone else can.
But also, the ridiculous part of that was the notion that I haven't done research because I didn't come to the same conclusion as you.

Not being a fan of team usually leads to a more level headed evaluation of the squad as well, not subject to as much bias (and the hyperbole that takes hold of fans before the season starts)

yeah i'm sure there was a time when i looked at the UW schedule and saw 9 wins. probably after a beer or five.

Watching highlights makes me so frustrated with Tommy Armstrong. When he's on he's just so good. Dude can make some crazy plays and I don't think many QBs can throw 50+ yards while on the run like he can. He's like Stafford with legs. If he's not as reckless as he was last year him and Westerkamp are going to constantly tear shit up. And if he's just as reckless then Westerkamp is still gonna tear shit up.

Please tell me more about why you think SC can't get to the top? Is it the crazy amount of talent coming out of the state in 2018 (you know we lead for Xavier Thomas and Rick Sandidge)? Is it the great staff that Muschamp put together? Is it the amazing Football operations building, the indoor practice facility, Muschamp's island home which will all be tools used to help recruiting (Not to mention all the other ongoing projects and renovations)? Or are you simply basing it on the fact that you aren't sold on Muschamp? Or maybe you're like @EngineDown and think Roper isn't the right OC even though he had a very successful run at Duke? The fact that none of you guys could talk about it without so much as giving a reasoning is pretty funny to me. Your first comment was basically what you hear from people that regurgitate what they read from ESPN. Good for you that you're a writer. It doesn't make me feel any differently about your original comment because you said nothing to support what you said. What did you expect me to say? "Oh my god Elf said that so it must be true!"?

If you wanted me to exaggerate I would have said SC could win the SEC championship this year, beat Clemson, and go on to the playoffs where they would end up winning by 28 points in the national championship. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until next season!

You work in athletics and actually think that 247 is the best recruiting resource?

It's definitely not the best "resource." It was probably the best place for me to find news before I started this job and is probably the best site for that for people who don't have access to the sites I do. Shrug. Idk it seems inconsequential to make a fuss about haha.

Why are you focusing on Roper at Duke like he wasn't paired with Muschamp in Florida lol? I'm acutely aware of the recruits they're targeting. That's fine. It has no effect on their standing for this season lol. I'll give you the indoor practice facility and the Ops building (really are something nice to see), but your "staff" and island home points are just trash.

How can you judge Roper on one season at Florida? That's point is absurd and "trash." I'm not talking about their standing this season with CarpetElf. My whole point was that I think the program can be turned around by Muschamp. Try to keep up

We're talking about "The Big Spur" which is arguably (but with very little debate) the best source of recruiting information for SC football.
