Regal just announced that they’re gonna start reopening on 7/10, and independent theaters have been open where restrictions allow

I finally checked out Midsommar and man, I loved it. Hereditary was good but I didn’t like it nearly as much as some other people.

Midsommar was so fucking weird and psychedelic. My girlfriend has never tripped or even smoked pot so she had no idea what was happening lol. Has anyone seen the directors cut? I definitely want to check that out

    I Miss Jake W Prestigious

Director’s Cut has that one extra weird ritual and I thought it was worth it for that alone, but the rest of the added stuff were great too.

    highly recommend it

I watch Jaws every year on or near 4th of July, but this year I'm thinking adding all the sequels too. I've seen them once back in high school and remember them being pretty bad, but hopefully they're at least some fun.

Also just watched Lake Mungo and that was pretty creepy, very well done.

Interesting, that duo is on one of the other screens of the same drive-in I referenced going to this past weekend.

2 and 3 aren’t bad, but strap in for ”the revenge”. That movie is a real shit show

In 2015 was the 40th anniversary of Jaws so there was a release in AMC theaters that summer. I’ve seen that movie a dozen times on VHS/cable/DVD but the most rewarding experience was in the theater. I took my mom cuz she wanted to see it again, she was in nursing school when it came out (she usually hates horror but wanted to relive the thrill). I thought I knew everything about the movie but the scene where Hooper is in the underwater cage and the shark strikes him from behind just as the John Williams score syncs up to the boom, I jumped out of my seat!

My city is going to have a giant inflatable screening of Jaws on the lake on June 26th at 9 pm. They said for people to bring floats or boats to watch the movie. Not sure how I feel about that.

I’ve watched Jaws countless times, but it’s actually one of the few major classic horror films in which I never saw any of the sequels. Are they worth it?

Man, i WISH we would have gotten the Carpenter double-feature.

Just watched The Invisible man. The cinematography was awesome, but I have to say I’m disappointed. I feel like it’s a movie that should’ve been seen in the theater

Are you disappointed in the flick or the fact that you weren’t able to catch it at the show?

I guess both. The movie was stylish, but I just didn’t think it was interesting. And I totally predicted the twist. Idk, it just never grabbed me like I was hoping. The scene in the restaurant was pretty cool though
