  1. you’re right, looks like it disappeared within the last hour after I took this screenshot. Either way does seem like it was Ben’s decision

That was a great chat. Really interesting to hear about the Hopeless Records deal, and it was funny when he mentioned how an intern uploaded their music video in mono. Made me think of It Is Real.

Excited by their future though. Seems they are constantly writing, constantly moving forward as a band and I am very excited by what they might do next. Mother Nature was massive.

Yeah it was a great chat. AJ sounds confident. So I guess "it is real" is mono? I'm sure that was intentional tho that time :-p

The guitars on War Paint have always been one of my favorite parts of that album that isn't talked about much. The more prevalent 'piercing' tones are another huge step up from RFTS (not that I thought the guitars were bad on that album, just more prevalent work here) and really add so much to that record. Always felt like there weren't many peers in the 2010s pop-rock/punk-adjacent space doing that.

just pulled the song up on my monitors and flipped it back and forth. It most definitely is not mono.

He said it was the youtube video for Ghost. But that it got fixed.

I'd agree and I think this is why Matt Kennedy is a perfect fit for them coming with the piercing tones that he produced on Only Every Time with the graduate.

Only Every Time is perfect. I got Matt to sign my copy when he was touring with TDS here in Glasgow. I think he was dumbfounded that I had it.

War paint was the album that took me a bit longer to get into ironically, I felt all the songs slightly sound alike. This is something that has been a slight criticism of the band from time to time. But I usually like this element/quality in a band. The more I listened tho, each song started to get its own identity

  24. Heh, leading your new independent endeavor with a song title (and label name) that most publications and playlist creators (and social networks algorithms) will wanna censor or be cautious about covering is ... interesting. I’m right here for business consultation though guys. :crylaugh: Hope it’s good.

Here is the link to the trailer for the song and video. And their new Dangerous Summer page (which was hard to find in search)

I'm not sure what to make of the song yet. It is a new direction or sorts. The theme itself is a departure as they usually were relationship based style songs in the past.. growth is good tho... thoughts?
