I laughed my ass off at the "guy turns into a green blob" short. Couple bad ones but overall a decent anthology. I fell asleep during Hogzilla oops.

Feel like the only copyright proof way to do The Last Drive In is with public domain films. But that could be fun too

 

I thought about this, there's a film archive site with A TON of them, buy I guess platforms like Twitch are still weird and you have to submit proof they they're not copyrighted like two weeks on advance :(

 

Went to a Carpenter double-feature last night at the drive-in theater i've gone to since I was a kid and it was a great time. They Live and The Thing.

 

Watched Hogzilla and it's pretty damn bad but still not the worst thing they've shown on The Last Drive In. I couldn't finish Tetsuo :(

 

I finished Tetsuo, it didn't make any sense but I didn't hate it. I bailed on Troma War or whatever because I was in a bad mood and want enjoying it at all. I fell asleep before Bloodsucking Freaks ended but that was awful

 

Gotta say, Hogzilla was definitely the worst thing I've seen on TLDI lol but it was a fun episode because of the context. Tetsuo was so unlike anything I've ever seen (outside of maybe Eraserhead) that I really appreciated it.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 is a legit good, fun movie

 

Also Leatherface is a truly tragic character

 

Child's Play reboot wasn't too bad. Gore and majority of the cast was good

 

I really enjoyed the Child’s Play reboot. Very fun, modern take on the story.

 

These are rad.

My Vinegar Syndrome blu-rays arrived today! The McPherson Tape, The Suckling, and Spookies. Gonna try to squeeze in The McPherson Tape tonight considering it's only like 75 minutes.

I wish Jeepers Creepers could get rebooted by a director that isn't a convicted pedo. The first film was solid and that monster was a good concept.

Are there any theaters even open yet? I know it’s still a month away, but a lot of states have COVID numbers increasing. I know the ones my city are still closed with no anticipated opening date.

 

My local theater is open and showing old movies. I haven't gone tho so idk what safety precautions there are
