yeah undrafted players can sign with whoever for a maximum bonus of $20,000, which is much less than the regular max of 125,000 for undrafted players.

one might expect organizations with good track records of player dev success will fare better than teams who are only just catching up or are cheap

so a good college junior has to decide whether to take 20k or return to school. colleges are going to have some odd rosters next year depending how things shake out with signings as well as however covid affects eligibility

the 20,000 max signing bonus is wild since players drafted in the 6th round last year probably received something between 200-300,000 as their bonus

 

Hopefully the players strike, because this is so beyond ridiculous.
