If AltPress truly cared about survivors, and not only when they are called out, they would stop posting about Falling In Reverse, Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember, Warped Tour (whose founder said "Sexual harassment is part of the culture" and insisted none of it happened on the tour, despite stories of stuff happening on the tour), With Confidence, Jonny Craig, Don Broco, and others. But, you know, if the bands get them clicks who cares about survivors feelings...

 

Just noticed that the founder of Alt Press has gone private on Twitter, likely due to being called out.

I'd like to say hopefully this is the end, finally, at long last, of Alternative Press but it probaby isn't.

 

Do they have some bigger media company backing them or something? Or do they actually just do well enough to stay running?

 

I'm sure not enough of the people who still give AltPress money and clicks in 2020 care about any of this to have it make a real difference. They've been platforming some of the worst scum of the music industry for years now.

 

with the whole BonAppetit scandal causing what's his name to step down this could be the right time for some consequences for AltPress

 

I think Fronz sucks and is an awful person but I’m also super sex positive and an advocate for sex workers and legalising prostitution. Not gonna kink shame and sex work shame. However I will shame him for all the countless awful things he’s done and said.
