I Know This Much Is True (HBO miniseries 2020, Derek Cianfrance) TV Show

Cianfrance makes some more heartbreaking shit. Anyone check it out tonight?

 

Yeah, and heartbreaking is right. I have a family member who is a paranoid schizophrenic so this is hitting very close to home.

 

I read the plot description and as much as I love Ruffalo I definitely can't stomach this now or maybe ever

 

Yeah, I'm not sure if I want to watch or not. Don't really need anything to add to the depressing nature of everything right now, but Ruffalo is always good, and I'm curious to see him in the duel role. Also interested to see more of Cianfrance's work.

 

I am DVRing and will probably watch once I can do them all together but unfortunately the reviews for this have not been great.

 

Half way through this first episode and it’s fucking horrendous so far.

 

Kathryn Hahn is great but everything else in this is brutally bad.

This show is heavy. Ruffalo has been good.

Just finished this. Such a sad cycle of abuse, struggle, and loss. Would have been completely soul draining without that positive resolution that comes in the final 30min or so.
