Well @Jason Tate since you’re here why do you consistently let members attack women when they speak up just bc they don’t agree with them or more specifically their tone

What? I'm barely reading this thread at the moment, I'm cooking dinner and haphazardly scrolling. I don't see any reported posts ... why is @Marx&Recreation getting everyone in this thread mad at me when I haven't done anything these past two days.

 

Is this genuinely what you believe you’re doing? If so, I want to say this, and I don’t mean it in any way that intended as judgmental tone-policing, but as genuine advice going forward: you are doing it very poorly. It is not going to help convince anyone by conveying such things the way that you are. That is not tone-policing, it’s me telling you how it feels to try to respond to your substantive points while also doing my best to ignore this shade that you keep throwing at everyone for no particular reason. I tried to ignore it at first, but you just keep saying them, so I felt the need to finally acknowledge it.

I get it, it’s not your job to educate anyone, and it can be extremely tiring to do so. But being condescending like that does not at all come off as “challenging people’s notions and asking questions at the root of the problem.” It just makes me want to stop talking to you about the actual things we are talking about. I felt like we were having a productive, perfectly tone-neutral discussion. So it is baffling to me why you consistently throw in those kinds of passive-aggressive statements like that.
