It's like rain on your wedding day

 

I wasn't in the office more than an hour today (second day back) before a buncha boomers came into my office to use for a meeting (without notice) and the biggest moron of them all looked at me as I put my mask on (they wore none, there were probably 10 of us in my office now) and said "Lisa you look like you should be out there looting" so I said "maybe I am"

Wild. Just ... wild. That last sentence ... yeesh.

I just want to say that I also have (way cooler) Boris-hair and if I ever run for political office I will refuse to become a greaser politician helmet head and will continue to rock my unruly mop when my hair grows out.

Growing up I was biking home from a friend's house. Her neighbor saw me leave and called the cops. She told them she had seen me leave with a bag of stuff and that I was wearing a hoodie.

The officer pulled me over on my bike. I told him I lived down the street but his response was that I didn't look like I belonged there, referring to my being black. Luckily, he let me go after confirming my address.

My friend's neighbor told her mom that she saw a black kid and panicked. So she made up a story to get there as fast as possible.

Made me realize early on that I'd have to justify my presence wherever I go.

Lol just found out the leading dem candidate for the house of reps primary in my district is some lady who was an attorney who defended Transocean (owner of Deepwater Horizon) during the BP oil spill in the gulf. She was also living in DC for the past 10 years and just moved to my district last year.

Does the DCCC just go out and get the shittiest candidates they can find?
