All this is doing is further cementing my hatred for cops

I’ve been pulled over several times despite being someone who follows the road rules and consider myself to be a safe driver
In fact when thinking about it at least half the times were because of a brake light or tail light or something. I think of how nervous I was all those times and often think of those posts that propose having a team that pulls people over for that for the sole purpose of fixing it for them and carrying on
Yknow, what we would do if we actually cared about the safety of lights being out instead of using it as an excuse to harass people and find reasons to criminalize them

also I’ve always been very aware of how my experiences were shaped by being both white & female

 

pretty sure i've only been pulled over once, you're basically allowed to do 10 over anywhere around here but I accidentally was doing 15 over because it was down a hill so I was prepared for a relatively justified ticket. but dude saw I was dressed nice and had a lanyard and badge (was working at a high school at the time) and a backpack on my passenger seat, asked if i was late to work, i said yes (i wasn't really) and he let me go lol

 

I was speeding once way too damn fast as a dumbass teenager and could’ve been arrested for it but only got a ticket.

I am so sick of the dumbest people from high school posting constantly all day on FB how the media controls the narrative and we are all sheep as if it’s some giant conspiracy.

I was taught the Agenda Setting theory day 1 of my college media class.

 

My girlfriend and I were in Florida in November and we were following in our rental behind her best friend and her boyfriend and there was a construction sign that said next exit is a drug checkpoint and all vehicles will be pulled over. So we got off right at the exit before and as we did realized the mistake as there were 8 SUVs under the underpass. They pulled our friends over but not us and it was petrifying. Never seen that before. Sign even said they had drug dogs and everything. Drove that same stretch the next night, didn’t get off the highway and there was no drug check point at all.
