it was also a good match to set up Karrion Cross as a monster but it's sad to see Ciampa's end in NXT feel so anticlimactic and him jobbing out.

it's the right booking but goddammit this is Ciampa and this is Takeover!

 

but if this is how they are booking Cross then he needs to win the NXT title and destroy Adam Cole within the next two months.

 

I hope Rhea is okay and didn't suffer anything serious like a concussion - scary spot

 

also Io should have gotten to pin Charlotte lol

 

Ciampa and Gargano both should have moved up to the main roster at the end of their feuds. I don't know if they would have used either one properly, but at the very least we could remember them going out on a high in NXT and blame the main roster for ruining them. I like what Gargano is doing now, and he maybe has more longevity in NXT still, but Ciampa especially feels like there is absolutely nothing for him to do

 

yeah it just sucks cuz he meant so much to NXT during their peak and now he's just kind of there - hope he moves on to Raw or SDL but he also tweeted that he'd rather retire then go to the main roster (probably a work but still)

would love a Gargano/Candice vs Kross/Scarlett matchup next tho

During her brief NXT reign Charlotte put over exactly zero wrestlers in that division which is what I expected

 

See, my only knock with NXT sometimes is that they rush into those type of big matchups maybe too quickly? Would prefer for both Gargano and Candice to establish themselves are legit heel contenders before running into Kross/Scarlett. Both teams feel like they need to be built up some more before running into each other.

 

I do agree with this but I mean what’s next for Kross? I guess seeing him destroy a bunch of legacy NXT wrestlers would be cool but other than hotshotting him against Cole or just to the main roster I wonder what he does next after squashing Ciampa

 

Kross is going to get absolutely rushed through NXT. I’m honestly expecting him to have a short TV feud and then go straight into Cole.

 

If they don't put Balor up against Cole next, then I could see Balor and Kross being a feud they run.

 

hoping Io and Asuka hold the titles long enough to face each other at Survivor Series (Banks as SDL champ would give the match GOAT potential)

but knowing Vince Charlotte is gonna beat Asuka at SummerSlam

 

Which is a love/hate thing for me cuz if Kross is squashing Balor then what was the point of bringing Balor back?

They just set the precedent that no one in NXT (save for Keith Lee) stands a chance against Kross

 

Kross also needs a finish that isn’t a submission. His RNC does not look good at all

 

I feel like I haven’t seen Finn in such a long time. I’m enjoying his style here in this match. And this is probably the most I’ve ever liked Priest

 

Ouch that back bump on the stairs. Also Priests gear is weirding me out. Some how he feels more naked than Finn

 

Really curious to see what this guy's ceiling is.

 

According to that podcast with Road Dogg it seems they think the world of him so I think he’ll definitely get the opportunity

Surprised they let Kross do the F5. Gonna be funny when he gets called up and he gets the one name treatment but he keeps the name you wouldn’t expect.

 

Man it looked like Io landed head first on the dive off the house. I saw reddit complaining that Charlotte didn’t sell any of Rheas offense but I didn’t notice that?

 

Stoked for Io, but I was taken out of the moment by the moonsault landing right on Rhea's face. That looks painful.
