I bet the US run will be postponed too :(

  2. Earliest I see any shows happening anywhere is maybe November if even that. Pessimistic outlook probably but I'm basically writing this year off anyway.

Damn, this album helds up so well, this could easily be a top three Jimmy Eat World record for me

Futures and Chase This Light are my 1 and 2, but I might put Surviving at 3.

Surviving is easily at the bottom of the post-Static Prevails albums for me

I'd prolly put it above Damage, Clarity, and maybe Invented

this record was fine but I haven't come back to it whatsoever. I'd put it above Invented and Static Prevails, but that's it

Surviving is better than Damage, but that's about it

I tend to find it pretty on par with Integrity Blues

Nothing quite as good as Sure & Certain but the combo of Delivery and 555 is pretty close

I just sincerely thought they were losing steam and winding down after Damage so anything from then on feels like a gift

yeah, they haven’t put out a top tier record since chase this light. the overhype for the last three is incredibly odd to me

having a top three without some combination of the clarity - chase this light run is one of the weirdest takes that i only ever see from like a dozen people on this site and literally nowhere else

Hahaha I don't love Clarity tho.

But my top 3 is futures, ctl, and integrity blues

Me too and I only ever see it on here. It's cool that people enjoy them but I can't understand how someone could listen to the Clarity - Chase This Light run and think the recent albums even hold a candle to them.

Surviving never clicked with me, really. I keep trying but it’s not as memorable for me. Integrity Blues, though... adore it.

Surviving feels like the band on cruise control, which is fine and all, but 555 is the only thing on the album that steps outside their bounds. Integrity Blues had many songs that I would consider outside their comfort zone and they pull it off

Poor baby, you're starting to lose it.

Surviving was their purposeful attempt at a straight forward guitar rock record. I also agree that “555“ is the biggest leap outside their comfort zone and it’s certainly one of the highlights. I can’t even listen to “All The Way” because I find it incredibly bland and it made me worried for the record - but then I heard it and find it overall fantastic.

i think "congratulations" is also outside of their comfort zone

surviving is great and I’m gonna spin it later now

The only 2 songs on Surviving that I find (somewhat) lacking are "Criminal Energy" and "One Mil". The back half is flawless.
