Has anyone seen (or does anyone have) a good template for emailing reps about abolishing police/prisons? Or does anyone have good tips on what to include?

 

the OCD is the de facto drive pedal. its on almost every heavy record you like.

a good alternative is the Walrus Audio Voyager for people looking for alternatives.

 

I've only seen templates for police reform which is inadequate but maybe you can work from that

ah yeah saw a lot of "8 can't wait" posts this morning and was confused where it was coming from all of the sudden, I was already annoyed with it because any reform that doesn't end qualified immunity and takes power from the crazy police union is practically useless because they can just break the new laws and regulations and get away with it.

 

Glad I bought the Friedman overdrive over this

 

Some fucking gross yet unsurprising reports coming from the initial hearings in the Arbery murder case. Apparently the third man that helped the father and son testified to and there is also video evidence that the son stood over Ahmaud and called him a racial slur after he murdered him. Georgia somehow doesn’t have a hate crime law but there has to be some way he can be federally charged right?

Edit: I think I misunderstood what I read earlier. There is video of a GBI agent testifying that William Bryan told him that he heard the younger McMichael say the slur. Not sure there is actual video from the scene of him saying it.

Sucks because I always liked John. He’s an extremely underrated drummer

 

I listened to some SOAD back in the day but the one tidbit I remember about their drummer is according to groupies he’s got a Dirk Diggler-sized hog

 

Serj is the only cool member of that band imo

That’s typically my stance too, but also it seems like he’s been kind of a dick about new music. Shavo seems to get more pissed off at him every year lol
