Looking at the polls, I try to be optimistic, but I'm going to be shocked if Trump doesn't get reelected.

I feel extremely frustrated right now and need some people to talk about this with

every organized protest that I see is putting a lot of emphasis on it being peaceful and all these guidelines about how they’re going to be peaceful

and while I know part of that is bc these are the visible movements (like no ones going to make a public Facebook event calling for destruction)
But I end up feeling lost/conflicted because I don’t feel that peaceful protests are enough at this point

sitting peacefully has resulted in violence against them and I just feel like it’s complacent to sit down and be peaceful and allow that

 

And that, IIRC, was a huge suprirse. HRC had invested more in Texas than other past Dems had and I think they said htat was the first time in a long time a Dem had finished within single digits there?

 

Change turned out to be kind of a crappy poller during the primary IIRC. They constantly had Warren way up and Bernie way up in places

 

Jesus. I am so old and out of the loop. I have a early 20-something relative who I thought was pretty well adjusted. But then I see them post a YouTube video from Young Pharaoh titled GEORGE FLOYD, RIOTS, & ANNONYMOUS EXPOSED AS DEEP STATE PSYOP FOR NWO! The fuck is this?

 

Encourage civil disobediance, i.e. clogging the streets, staying past the curfew, etc. They'll still get arrested and/or the violence against them but it'll create more narrative about the cops being the overbearing jackasses.

Of course the flip side to that is getting arrested means exposure to potential Coronavirus in tight enclosed spaces so

 

OH that’s what I was going to say, like literally protests being like “stay OUT of the street!” Or “we go HOME at curfew” and I’m like ???? What ???
Or there’s a sit in one that says NO SIGNS. ???? I just can’t get behind those movements that seem like just idk. I don’t even have the words for it. Lazy?

Personally based on what I’ve seen across the country I’ve accepted that getting arrested is a possibly inevitable outcome.
