I feel for the grizzlies a little bit. They do deserve some benefit of the doubt but they did have a pretty tough schedule down the stretch before they shut it down iirc

That said, pelicans/lakers is one of the most compelling 1/8 seed matchups you could ask for, for obvious reasons.

My question is how are they scheduling the remaining "regular season games"? Memphis had the hardest remaining schedule which was kind of the whole reason it felt like we and NOP had a legit shot to get in. Is it just going to be the next 8 on your schedule? but what happens if you have a team that isn't in the 22?

I understand why, but damn I’m annoyed that the Pistons don’t get to continue our plummet to the bottom of the standings. It finally felt like we might get a top three pick for once. I also had a bet with a friend we wouldn’t win more than three games after trading Drummond lol.

 

this is gonna get super complicated, what if team A can get to 8 games without playing team B twice but team B has to play team A twice to reach 8 games?

Ok. How is the lottery order gonna be determined? Like, Washington was only 1.5 games above Charlotte. If Washington plays and loses 7 of the 8 remaining games...will they end up below Charlotte?

 

I'd hope the teams that aren't playing are locked into their seeding. I'm almost certain nobody forced the Wizards to play, they punted the chance to out tank Charlotte by agreeing to play.
