Cleveland definitely needs a name change. I've never been sure about Atlanta. There's a huge difference between naming a team after an entire race of people and using what is essentially another term for Warrior. But I'm also not Native American so what I think is certainly not any definitive conclusion. And honestly, any issues can just be avoided by renaming themselves the Atlanta Warriors.

I think the story goes no one actually knows where it started but a former FSU president claims the band invented it. It came to Atlanta with the signing of Deion Sanders in 91.
