Also, Atlantic is owned by Warner Music Group (with the parent company of I think privately held Access something or other that I'd just assume owns a bunch of other bad shit), not AT&T.

Vent: got into it with my wife's cousins on WhatsApp, they've been posting a lot of BLM and protest videos, cool. What's not cool is they are all super homophobic and hide behind their Islamic faith as justification (it's not just Bible thumpers that do this). So I called them out and ya shit got real. Ended up with them saying that me and my wife, who are Muslim, are islamophobic.

Sorry folks, you can't pick and choose which forms of oppression are worth your time and energy.

 

I'm picking up what you're putting down. I was just kind of confused why Emma Watson was the one being targeted for it when we've known her stance on racism and equal rights since she's been outspoken about it for years and years. But I guess since she's not been outspoken about this current incident, I can see why that may rub some people the wrong way, especially to those who haven't followed her politics in the past. I assume there's many other people who've only put up a black square and done or said nothing else, and they aren't trending on Twitter so I was wondering if there was another reason I was unaware of that Emma was the one getting the attention. Hopefully behind the scenes she's been donating money or something, if she isn't planning on making a public statement.
