I was 16. It was the first summer i had my drivers license. I associate this album with so many different "firsts". It was a magical time.

 

I was 8 when the album came out, but I don't think I listened to it until I was 10. It was a game changer for me, though, and completely shifted my music taste.

 

I was 8. First heard all the small things on Now 4. My big sister bought the album and I quite enjoyed it.

 

As much as EOTS meant to me for a long time, I’ve soured on it a lot in recent years. Stuff like Wendy Clear and Adam’s Song hold up but like... Dumpweed, Mutt, The Party Song are all pretty gross

 

I was 7 when it came out and can thank an older neighbor who was like 11 or 12 for introducing it to me through The Party Song and Wendy Clear and I was hooked. I remember convincing my dad to buy me Enema and Dude Ranch because my mom looked at the back of Dude ranch and saw ‘dick lips’ and then the cover of Enema and definitely didn’t want to buy me the records but my dad was all for it. My Sony Walkman played those two cd’s on repeat non stop all year.

 

I was never huge on "Mutt" but the line "he took the seat off his own bike because the way that it felt" still makes me chuckle.

Maybe it’s because it was the first CD I ever bought that was “mine”, but I burned myself out on it pretty severely. Add in the fact that I burned myself out on it for a second time by listening to the live album...woof. I’ve pretty much never had the desire to go back to most of those songs ever since.

 

EOTS holds up incredibly well. Sounds like it could have been dropped on any New Music Friday this year

I can't see myself listening to a new blink album with lyrics like they had in enema.

Being a product of 1994-2004 pop punk I would absolutely love an album that sounds like enema

 

I mean, that's what they were going for with California. But obviously it's near impossible to catch lightning in a bottle twice, let alone 17 years later with only 1/2 of the core team.

 

Not to ruin a thread but what happened with Matt and all the nazi imagery? I have noticed he’s the only member not to chime in on BLM and it’s not a good look.

This is a pretty good summary of the stuff surrounding Matt. Some of the list is a bit reaching, but there is some pretty serious stuff here.

We get posts like this from Matt today instead. He was also posting his gun collection as recently as last week.

 

Not to ignore all the real problematic facts in that post, but what exactly is wrong with him following porn stars on instagram? That was a stupid thing to add in there.

 

That’s what I mean about some of it reaching. I don’t think everything there should be included.

 

Their new song should be coming out soon...any update on that?
