Typically, I would agree, but the man walked into the streets last night with the intent to harm, and very likely kill.

Had they killed him in retaliation, good riddance.

Atlanta mayor on tv right now. 2 of the officers that assaulted those people in their car last night are terminated and the other 3 are on “desk duty” while an investigation into the incident takes place.



Chief Shields on now. One of the terminated was of course “a good guy who made a mistake.” Fuck off.

 

This is fair. I definitely struggle with my feelings on this one, but no judgement to how people feel about it one way or the other

Absolutely fucked up and they deserve to be prosecuted. That being said, I am a bit shocked that any police are being fired right now. Feels like law enforcement everywhere have given up pretending to care

 

Mayor just said there will be no criminal charges brought against the cops. Apparently they tried to charge the male driver that was assaulted with something last night, (I assume resisting because he wouldn’t get out of the car?) but the mayor said she is having all charges against the students dropped.

Jesus. Fuck that mayor. Thank God the charges were dropped against them, but it's definitely not enough

Really fed up with people saying shit like "I don't agree with what happened but people shouldnt use it as an opportunity for personal gain" like that isn't exactly what this country is founded on lol
