Here I was thinking the Catholic Church has already done a fine job desecrating itself

 

I was coming here to post this, how can you always be one step ahead even when it’s my area!

So far what’s been happening locally hasn’t seemed to get much attention, but this will do it. My jaw dropped when I saw the first video a few minutes ago. Some of the monuments have also been heavily tagged, and there’s a great picture of one that I wouldn’t be surprised to see get shared a lot.

Just spent like an hour driving around south Minneapolis and it’s pretty dead at this point. There’s a lot of cops around the 5th precinct, and a lot around the hospital on Chicago Ave, which makes sense bc a lot of fires were just a block south of there last night. The 3rd precinct area is blocked off but looking down there I saw basically no cops there at all

There are a ton of side residential streets that are blocked off and a lot (if not most) of them are clearly just residents either taking construction signs for their own or placing their own tables and stuff in the way. And a lot of people just hanging on their front porch, and every once in a while I saw groups hanging outside stores
