Any Michiganders in here going to any protests? One in Lansing tomorrow and one in Saginaw next week.

Has anyone come across resources to pass along to high school students about how they can help and participate? Unfortunately, as an employee I can’t encourage students directly to go engage in protest because heaven forbid they get harmed, but there have to be high-school level resources and reading materials that I can provide on short notice.

 

So the protest that was going to be held in the town next to me on Monday was canceled. They say it was for safety reasons (maybe they figured holding a BLM protest in 95% white Trump infested area was not a great idea lol).

Now the nearest one from me is about a half hour away. I was already hesitant to go to the one near me just cause these large groups gathering make me nervous on spreading the virus, so I probably won’t end up taking the drive to somewhere else.

I know it’s been talked about here in the past, but I’m not gonna bother looking through all the pages so what are some good organizations I could donate to to help the cause?

I posted about it being cool that 95 was closed down on my social media and I’ve gotten a few people very concerned about the hospital exists possibly being blocked heh.

Civil disobedience is literally what you need if you’re not gonna support violent protests.
