I’m sorry, that’s so ridiculous to blast him over the tweet. People are acting like he tweeted the music video for chocolate. LIIWMI’s opening lines are literally about that. I’m glad he has since posted a change.org petition on his Instagram, but for fuck’s sake. He didn’t do anything wrong.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

LIIWMI literally mentions police brutality by suffocation. It's exactly to the point of what happened in Minnesota.

I can’t find a screenshot of it right now, but he said something along the lines of “we need to protect black lives” and then tweeted a link to the Love It If We Made It MV.

He just posted the cover of TDAGARIOM - this should go over well lol

Edit: Oh, I get the context. Should have led with the Hotelier one first - weapon

The boredom of people to attack him for posting a link to the song where he is directly addressing current events is some next level shit.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

I'm sure this is treading familiar territory, but this would be a great album if they cut the runtime in half. They really took their tendency for filler into overdrive with this.

As always, some bangers sprinkled in though.

The really don't view any of this as filler, though I see how some may think that- however I do get the critique that until MAYTS - the pacing is clunky. I love the songs individually, but it doesn't quite catch a wave until half way through.

  21. wanted to take a minute before posting my reaction to the album, since it seemed like people here were quite divided on it.

i personally think it's great, love that it's a George-record - makes MFC feel representative of the band's two driving personalities, which i found unexpected.

like ABIIOR it suffers from too many pre-release singles, they could've swapped in Tonight (I Wish I Was Your Boy) or I Think There's Something You Should Know to better reflect what was on the album, but also given us less ahead of time. Greta did not need to be a single.

i understand some of the complaints around sequencing but i also kinda love that the record starts off shaggy and weird. also love the call back to HNSCC, cool easter egg.

strongly disagree that because the band doesn't have a background in orchestral instruments/arranging that they should've gotten someone to help them with it, or that the songs feel like loops that have been left on too long. considering their influences a lot of those decisions make sense and work really well imo.

excited to see these songs live, great end to the era
