A group stage instead of the first round would be way more interesting. I'm all for it.

 

I think if they make any changes they should let the top two seeds of each conference get a bye, have more teams involved and don't create a scenario where they lose out after getting the best record. But they have to do something interesting, this is a great opportunity if they're going through with it.

 

Anyway, if its not called the playoffs I was right about the Lakers and the Oracle rides again.
