I wanna hear people geeking out on this to be blown away by Album Minus Band

 

Every once in a while I remember that he released the first 4 BTMI records in a span of like 2 years from 2005-2007 and I’m blown away again. Imagine being that good.

 

I forgot how good Ready...Set...No!!! is.

Scrambles is the all time GOAT followed by Vacation then Three Cheers for Disappointment

 

TLOD is probably worse than AMB but Stand There and Syke are top 10 Jeff songs.

 

Stand There Until You're Sober is just such a perfect song. I spent many high school parties super fucked up blasting this song and singing along to it at the end of the night. That was usually when people left my house.

 

I always rank To Leave or Die like extremely high compared to other people lol. Congratulations John is also an all timer.

 

Crazy that this isn't even the best album to surprise drop this week

 

Wow “Ohio Tpke” is so good

 

Took two more listens for me to be screaming this while I fold laundry. Escalating quickly.

 

This is a real ripper of a record, I think it's probably his second best.

I know WORRY is the consensus favourite but I kinda missed the boat on that one since I was hardly listening to the genre at that point (I like it but I don't have that connection with it), so We Cool? has been my reigning favourite. POST- was a great reintroduction though and I feel like this one really builds on that one.

Honestly, I don't remember lol. I had it in my library at some point and I think I heard Vacation once but obviously not enough for anything to make an impact.

 

Goodbye Cool World is clearly the most realized of the first three releases, which I group together as their own era.

 

Well get on it! I feel like if I only got into Jeff during We Cool/everything after, I'd be kinda lukewarm on him as a whole.

 

Get Warmer is a clear transitional record. It might be the most similar to the Jeff Rosenstock records? Maybe? Still some synth throughout it I guess. This one is like the most "rock" of the BTMI records

 

I wish Jeff used more synth in his solo stuff

 

i wanna buy all his records now. like, anything he's been a part of. probably just the exhilaration of this album talking but goddamn i've literally had this on repeat since 7 am.

 

Get Warmer is his first solid record all the way through, no misses on this bad boy

 

Get Warmer is Laura's favorite it's fantastic

 

Do I like "Get Warmer" as a whole more than "Scrambles"???? Maybe!

Get Warmer (song) should have been the closer over The Last Party Foul

 

"Cold Chillin" is such a great opener. "It Shits" and "Stuff" rule. I think the album really picks up at "Fresh Attitude"/"Drinkball". Love "25!" so much. Heavy Vacation vibes on it while still retaining his old style. Loses me at "Gang of Four" and "9/11 Fever". Shut Up the Punx gets a little annoying. The last three songs are some of their best
