I decided that I was going to go ahead and get one of the new xboxes today but then I read that it can't passthrough hdmi 2.0 so my DirecTV 4K box won't even work through the xbox lol.

Fuck that. Guess I am waiting for Scorpio.

 

I had never heard of Scorpio, why would anyone get the xbox s at this point knowing that thing will be here in a year

 

I was mainly getting it for the 4K UHD Player being that all of the other players currently on the market are more than the Xbox One S

Its the new xbox project which could be powered enough for a VR machine. They are saying it will be the "most powerful console ever." It will also have a full backwards compatibility between the original One from now on through their line of consoles.

The whole point of me buying this was for the 4K capabilities but if I can't run my 4K set top box from DirecTV through the system then that eliminates 50% of why Im buying it. The other 50% (4K UHD Disc player) can wait until other manufactures start lowering the cost on them.
