Joyce Manor Announce New Album Cody, Share New Song: Listen | Pitchfork

 

song is okay, not the direction I wanted them to go in but its decent

 

The song is pretty much where they've been headed for the last two albums. I like it, it's very them, very good, and I'm anticipating it heavily

 

Doesn't grab me like some of the highlights from Never Hungover Again but I like the overall sound and I find the kanye chorus goofy in a fun/good way

 

Oh yeah, this felt more conversational and casual lyrically, which is interesting for them. Typically it's been so introspective where everything has been weighty and in contrast to some of their bouncy energy. I gotta give this more listens though.

 

These guys must be huge ilovemakonnen fans

 

Been revisiting all of the JM catalogue the past couple weeks. This band has gotten better and better with each release. Can't wait for Cody.

It's like they read this site's mind and willed this into existence

 

it annoys the hell out of me when vocalists try to emulate the singer of the songs they're covering
