The self titled is miles ahead of 22, but that's for another thread

Wish I hadn’t listened to any singles but they do hit harder in the flow for sure

"Yeah I Know", "Shiny Collarbone" and "Having No Head" are the three biggest misses for me I think. All three have stuff I really like happening but don't really come together how id like as full songs.

I like the first half but the second half is hitting me way harder.

    I keep hearing:

“I’d like to meet myself, and swap clothes”

Part hits so hard though. “Paying for their wealth with their mental health,” is a heartbreaking lyric.

  14. So, is it a given they will repackage ABIIOR and NOACF together? I could preorder the vinyl but I wouldn't mind waiting for a potential rerelease

tell me if I'm dreaming here but I'm convinced they were spinning James Blake's CMYK a lot while they were making some of this

FIRST OF ALL, there is no self titled - it's called Bon Iver, Bon Iver ;-)- second of all, nahhhhh lol. At a time I agreed with you - but the insane amount of sampling, vocoder and effects he uses on 22AM sets it ahead for me. It blends Bon Iver with just enough hip hop/r&b/pop elements where it speaks to all of my favorite genres directly. With the type of music I listen to these days, 22 A Million is a much more exciting listen. I don't find myself returning to BI, BI as much anymore. Justin's just gotten so much more experimental than that and that's what I want from him - that Kanye influence.

It's just my short hand way of referring to that one, hahah. Also, it's directly those sampling/vocoder/effects that turns me off that album. But that's the beauty of music; it hits certain people hard, and turns away others.

Exactly. Everyone's tastes are different and that album just speaks to me so much more.
