Damn, never realized how many people actually like Radiosurgery

It’s definitely not as bad as people made it out to be at the time. In my opinion at least. At first I didn’t care much for it but after seeing them tour it and continuing to listen it grew on me. Wish I could say the same for Resurrection

Radiosurgery and NWAF are both fine. I don’t revisit either very often, but they both have some great songs, a handful of decent songs, and a few misses.

This new one will probably be in my "fine but forgettable" pile with NWAF and Radiosurgery

Can we just talk about the disaster that is Resurrection instead?

I feel like Resurrection was a poorly executed kneejerk reaction to the Steve situation, particularly with the confounding decision to very loudly declare they were proceeding as a four-piece and the album would reflect that, i.e. not having a multiple guitar sound- a huge staple of NFG music. It just felt...forced.

That being said, I just tried listening to NWAF and I'll take Resurrection every single day over that album. NWAF is such a drawn-out slog of a listen. Soooooo slow-paced, and not NFG's wheelhouse at all.

Resurrection may set a record for dropoff from the 3 or 4 really good songs to the bad ones on that album

Selfless is sick though. One of the best riffs Chad has written and when it gets into the speedy breakdown part :)

I feel like ya'll are taking crazy pills! I love NWAF. Truck Stop Blues, Right Where We Left Off, Don't Let Her Pull You Down and Such a Mess have always been on my NFG rotation.

Resurrection and Radiosurgery on the other hand are absolute chores for me to get through.

Resurrection is easily better than the new record (even with its duds).

I just want NFG to re-record Nothing Gold Can Stay, like how MxPx re-recorded Life in General. I love the songs but can’t stand the production. Those guitar and drum tones are garbage.

I don’t have any real qualms with Resurrection other than that it sounds completely lifeless and lacking any real oomph. That album would have been so much better with a second guitarist in the studio.

I like this, but I like Ready and Willing II a lot more than the original version. Having all the guest vocalists take over was a really fun idea.
