it’s so wild man. i don’t think reinsdorf/krause we’re wrong about the roster. but it’s just impossible for me to imagine him having a full season in chicago and losing after the six rings.

 

Wilbon just brought up 99 being a lockout year, imagine MJ an Pip only having to play 50 regular season games and going into the playoffs fresh

 

Truly great from a narrative standpoint. I’ve been watching 30 for 30s that drag or lose focus with a 1hr 15 runtime. Every episode of this having a clear theme and the nonlinear storytelling being used pretty gracefully was impressive.

 

Jordan signing a one year deal...some of the guys like Rodman/Kerr/etc doing the same, sure, maybe....Pippen? Dude was not gonna sign a one year deal, in his 11th season, for one year when he could take a sign and trade for 5yr/$60+ million

It kind of worked out great for Jordan that he retired both times when he did. Im not sure I buy him winning 8 straight titles, and the one thing he has going for him is he's 6-0 in full season titles. If he's 6-2, not sure its the same

 

Yeah you'd have to do a lot to get Pippen back and Rodman's off the court lifestyle had started to dwarf his contribution on it, so you can't just bring everyone back. The roster is a legitimate concern. But if you have Michael Jordan why the fuck not do what you can to throw together even half as good a team around him? Why piss him and Phil Jackson off before the season even starts? Wild
