based on circumstantial evidence everyone is bored enough to kill a million people so they can stop being bored and it's making me very anxious, my dad wants to go the gym already and I don't want to yell at him

 

Yeah, my dad’s church is thinking of going back to in-person services and I’m going to flip out completely. Usually he’s so good about putting his foot down and standing up for the right thing but with this I’m afraid he’s going to give up and put himself in danger. Really really hoping talking to him daily will be able to convince him that he doesn’t owe them his life and nothing has changed to make this a safe decision.

 

I know but I’m really struggling with this

like I have to have a way to disengage and not get caught up and protect myself

while also not being complicit and burying my head in the sand

like I need to be able to challenge ideas/people and stand up against bigotry or ignorance but howwwww

and like I have a problem with the mindset that just logging off and walking away is the answer Bc like those people and ideals will continue to exist and fester and spread and I feel like walking away from that is not right

 

yeah I know it's hard to be realize how much of a different you can make and how to do it , I'm very idealistic because I have to be
