I like to bring it up at holidays

 

My roommate has their number and is always saying something to them and the landlord. I think one of them works a night shift and the other works days because there's literally always someone up. I finally took an Ambien and am on like 4 hours of sleep. It's the weekend!! I should get all the sleep!!

 

I hate waking up and then being like oh damn now I have to do something for the next 12+ hours

 

And when you walk into a room and forget why you went there, whomever is playing just canceled your queue

 

Ugh I have to wear real clothes today.

What are the weekend plans

 

Honestly judging from social media most of Florida has given up on the idea of social distancing altogether so
I’m expecting things to hit the fan in 2-3 weeks but just sitting and WAITING for that is rough

letting my bf give me a haircut

 

it's sad. no one knows the answer. you can't keep people on lockdown forever and people are getting fed up with it. but at the same time if we want this to ever go away, we each have a responsibility in making that change happen. it sucks that it takes so long for symptoms to appear, for testing to be done, etc. I just hope we can get this under control sooner rather than later

 

I guess I just see it as there’s no way it’s going to go away anytime soon so we have to stop acting as if that’s the case. but like you said difficult because no one rly knows the answers. It’s a completely new thing that we don’t know how to handle. I agree too like I said waiting for the illness to catch up with our habits in order to see how our actions are affecting it is difficult.

It’s all just a rly confusing time bc there’s no way to be an expert about all of it so it’s hard/impossible to piece together all the information we need. So instead what comes out is confusing and contradicts itself

Idk. This all just sucks and is scary and I just want people who are smarter than me to figure it out and instead what’s happening is people much dumber than me are calling the shots and it’s giving me a crisis

 

We were talking yesterday (?) about how LI beaches should be closed for Memroiral Day. guess what? Some are definitley going to be open.
And we slid back to a 4/7 for reopening criteria...

 

yeah, I'm with you on that. I think you're right in that it won't go away as soon as we'd like it to but at this point it's hard to say anything with certainty anymore. we just do the best we can because that's all we really can do and hope for the best

I still think there is some good that can come from this ultimately and I hope we never forget

I feel this frustration a lot. They’re reopening the beaches and stuff in jersey starting next weekend and I’m very afraid for my family that all still lives down there by the shore if people from New York start flooding the area and bringing the virus down with them. The area I come from does not have very high hospital capacity so the fact that they haven’t been hit hard thus far has been a blessing, but that’s going to change once people start coming down from higher-risk areas. It sucks.

 

Yeah like in my area
- beaches have been open for a week
- restaurants are open to 50% capacity
- salons are back open
- stores are back open

all with social distancing regulations
But I still can’t help but be like oh ok we’re gonna die we’re the country’s guinea pigs cool cool cool cool
