school just announced classes will all be online next semester and I don’t know how to feel about it.

I wish I could say that but it’s hard for me to imagine a few months from now.

let’s say wave 2 hits and everything goes bad and then I’m back to my working 50+ hours and like I don’t know if I’ll be so lucky with professors as I was this semester.

Omg I'm going to flip out on my upstairs neighbors I literally cannot. I have a stressful af job and when I come home I just want to relax and it's constant noise. Lack of sleep triggers my migraines and it's 2am and I can hear their tv and it sounds like they're dropping and scraping stuff and I want to cry. I am taking a 4 day weekend next week and I'm not even excited for it if I have to stay here

I think about this a lot:

Depending who you ask, there’s a 20 to 50percentchance that you’re living in a computer simulation. Not like The Matrix, exactly – the virtual people in that movie had real bodies, albeit suspended in weird, pod-like things and plugged into a supercomputer.

I think the argument goes that this is practically a guaranteed "simulation". It's an ancient feeling, we just tend to view our reality through the technology we create, hence calling it a "simulation" (as another example of that, everyone used to think the universe was like a mechanical system during the industrial revolution). The veracity of it, meaning not just the narrow part captured by the limited vocabulary we're allowed at any period of time to explain what it is, is almost definitely true. Obviously our idea of what a computer is, sitting somewhere running calculations and "simulating" this is at best a metaphor, but it's a useful one considering the times.
