I would have a hard time placing Giannis in the top 30, but only because it’s too early in his career. Also don’t really think it’s worth getting upset over.

 

Actually just looked at the ESPN list and I feel like all the active players other than Steph are too high, but I don’t really like ranking players on these types of list when their story is still unfolding.

 

on paper giannis being the 27th best player sounds a bit odd, but actually looking at the list, who below him should be higher? he’s better than stockton. he’s better than Harden. Havlicek, Kidd, McHale??? like, who is getting snubbed by putting giannis in the top 30?

 

I don't think it's fair to say that he's better than John Stockton or Jason Kidd yet.

 

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to have Giannis between like 20-50 or something just because he’s young. Imo he’s so young that there’s just going to be difference in philosophy among too many people to settle on something that’s “right.”

 

I don't like this all-time lists including active players, there's just so much we don't know that comes down to speculation. Though they often end up being close to assessments, it'd make way more sense to only include players who have already retired.

Yeah something that’s gonna be as bothersome as an “asterisk” on a title are Lakers, Clippers, Bucks, etc fans declaring themselves as champs anyway. They were robbed etc. that’s gonna be just as annoying as a potential covid playoff title anyway.

Why does the media hate the Bucks so much?

I mean go Pacers and all that but what's with the hate boner for them? When they were good they were media darlings and Roy Hibbert was a LeBron killer.

it has always been the case for milwaukee. there’s no rhyme or reason to it, really.

you can’t even point to the market size, really, considering the league’s history with being fine with teams of smaller or comparable markets and with how other wisconsin teams are treated much more favorably
