So let's say the playoffs actually happen... What is the NBA's plan if a player tests positive? Can the rest of the player's team keep playing? Are they eliminated?

I assume they have a plan of what to do if a team (or teams?) wide outbreak happens... that’s a ground rule they would obviously have to kind of set. As far as tests, they got however many tests from Oklahoma and it didn’t seem to blow up much?? Obviously this is on a much larger scale... idk. I miss nba basketball but I’m skeptical too

 

I know they're giant corporations that, at the end of the day, don't give a shit about people personally, but it feels so incredibly irresponsible to have sports leagues come back and use those rapid testing systems to test players/staff daily when we can't fucking get that as a country. I wish the media would grill them over that, but alas, they won't.

 

i forget which podcast it was, i think it was howard beck's but an epidemiologist suggested nba has the capacity to literally create their own tests, and they could also create an excess to donate as a gesture of good will. not sure how accurate that is, but he was pretty adamate about it.
