The Gata episode of Dave is easily the best so far.

 

I think the ending of that series isn’t very good even though I do like the books for the most part so it’s really not surprising that the movie was terrible lol

 

I just feel bad for like all the 11 year old kids that really probably liked that series and was psyched to see it made into a movie only to never have the story finished lol

 

I know a few people who loved the books but hated the movie so idk it's hard to say.

I really loved the Dragonball anime and the Eragon YA book series as a kid, but I sure as hell never wanted any sequels to finish the awful film adaptations they had

 

to be fair, the third novel was horrifically bad too

 

That episode is kind of when the show starts to get more "serious" - I enjoyed the whole season but that episode, the wedding episode and the finale were standouts for sure.

 

Will I like Dave even if I hate Lil Dicky though?

 

I hate lil dicky and it takes a few episodes to get used to him but I am enjoying it so far and I’m halfway through the season.

 

Just finished Dave. It definitely embraces his obnoxiousness for humor, but it also confronts it in interesting ways. The show is decent and surprisingly substantive.

 

Have A Good Trip was great. They must have been making it for awhile if they got Carrie Fischer in it

I strongly dislike his music but it's probably my favorite new show of the year

I'm really into hip-hop though and there's a lot about that and a lot of cameos from rappers so if you're not into rap you might not be crazy about it

 

I don't think I could ever watch something with Lil Dicky in it

 

Stupid. That thing was gonna make so much money in theaters
