Neptune gives me the same vibe as Knife in the Ocean, though I like it a little bit better. Just straining really hard to be some sort of epic, profound closer.

Still really disappointed with Part 2, to be honest. Some of that has to do with how great Part 1 was though.

 

Couldn't agree more. Neptune pretty much embodies my disappointment with Part 2, but oh well. Part 1 still slaps

Wow, that's crazy. The record that got me into them.

I would also still consider it their best, and a top 10 for me in terms of the 2010s. Finally getting to see Black Gold during the ENSWBL tour was borderline religious.

 

Whelp I may have made a mistake here. I googled TLF and it said the release date was April 7, but now on wiki I see it says May 10.. I don't know which one to believe :(

 

The actual anniversary is May 10th 2020 yeah :)

Still their best record IMO.

 

I have a hard time listening to the whole thing in one sitting. Definitely their best collection of songs though.

 

That documentary was cool. Helped me find this little gem too.
