Disloyal Order and Cooperstown are the best tracks on Folie.

I create content for some of your favorite artists

TTTYG will always hold a special place for me as I discovered FOB back in early 2004, and when I left home and went to University my new flat mate was also a fan. I'd also thought I'd found my own special band no one knew about, but we quickly became friends over music sharing CDs back and forth.

    17 years huh... fuck

Spun Folie today and it's still a masterpiece. Wouldn't change a thing about it.

Day 51 of quarantine has me thinking deep thoughts about AB/AP.

Totally forgot that was an actual album by them lol that makes two records I only listened to a couple of times. I remember thinking SRnR was okay though.

I would make Coffee's for Closers the last song

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

    ...not "What a Catch"??

    Too cliche lol

I've actually always liked the idea of putting What a Catch as the second to last track leading into Coffee's for Closers. I love that song as a closer, the chorus is so epic and that string outro would be a perfect ending to the album

I think Folie is their peak in every conceivable way, but it's just baffling to me that "What a Catch" isn't the closer, it's possibly their greatest song

CFC would make a good closer but I don't mind WCS as the closer tbh. I love the grit and the bridge does a good job building up the end. Closers has good "closing imagery" ("I will never believe in anything again"), but there's something about the lyrics of West Coast Smoker that ties it all together for me. "The bulls are sedated and this fight's fixed" is very reminiscent to the themes presented in Disloyal Order. Both use a drug metaphor to comment on how controling our perfectionist, often times "rigged" society is, though the opener expands upon that later in the chorus and not on the initial "Detox just to retox" line ("Nobody wants to hear you sing about tragedy")

Granted, the whole album is sprinkled with those kind of tie ins, as that's what the record is about, but I digress. I love the aggressive finale to close a "happy on the surface, rotten to the core" album

  17. I don't know if it's just me reminiscing about its release, thinking about ending high school at the time or recalling the various great albums that came out during that period, but today I declare Save Rock And Roll is their best album. It's now a law.

To be fair, tomorrow I'll go back to thinking this is Folie à Deux. Looking forward to revisit Mania as Stay Frosty as jumped out as one of my favorite Fall Out Boy songs ever.

  18. How wasn't Alone Together a smash though?

I finally love PAX Am Days too. Sure it sounds underwritten but the garage rock/punk vibes suit them well and I wouldn't mind them revisiting that sound in a glossier and more melodic manner. It sounds more natural than any attempts at recreating their pop-punk heydays the post-reunion albums detractors are craving.

Man, I can’t believe Wrigley was two years ago. I’ve been to a lot of shows, and a lot of FOB shows, but I don’t think I’ve ever been *prouder* of one of my favorite bands than I was that night. Damn it I love this band so much.

Wrigley show was SO fun. They really went all out and they looked so humbled.

After probably not listening to any of the songs on this album in a long time, I’ve revisited this the last week. Forgot how much fun some of these songs are

Can we just take a sec to appreciate the transition from 27 into Tiffany Blews?!

Folie really does have the best deep cuts.

Folie is their best record if you ask me. It has the perfect balance of pop and classic FOB with some of my favorite FOB songs of all time.
