I listened to Nine while on a walk yesterday and shit, I still really love that whole album. I didn't even hate "Happy Days" when it came on! haha

I'm going to listen to California today and see how that's held up. I haven't listened to it in moooonths.

 

I love seeing these. If I lived in America I would go to shows and record every local band just on the off chance they blew up haha

 

Anyone here listen to the Dan Le Batard show on ESPN radio? They’re constantly playing Blink/AVA underneath their Sportscenter recaps to rejoin the show after commercial. It’s great.

 

Yeah I listened to NINE over the weekend and didn’t mind listening to Happy Days, BIOMY and IRWIHY. Those 3 I used to skip a lot when I would put blink on random.

At least I did a lot more when I listened to it recently.

 

The Happy Days music video made me appreciate the song more. Mainly because of Steve-o.

Been jamming CA on and off the past week. Puts me in such a great mood. I don't listen to the DLX songs much aside from Parking Lot, Wildfire, Good Old Days, and Pregnant lol.

 

For the sake of comparison, I still think NINE is a better record than Wake Up Sunshine.

But they didn't even compete on Neighborhoods ... obviously that's largely Tom's fault. They moreso resigned to just doing their own songs individually, which is why there's very little cohesion in the way it sounds. I would say he's completely correct when talking about TOYPAJ and Untitled.

 

Agreed. I think the idea is "We all throw our best ideas into a pot and fight over what makes the cut" which usually results in only the best ideas moving forward. I think with Neighborhoods there was probably no struggle in terms of specific ideas, but they probably fought over the general direction and just decided "okay I'll make my shit, you make yours" lol.

 

Not saying it's better objectively or anything. Just that I still listen to NINE, or at least a good number of songs from it, fairly regularly. Haven't had the urge to go back to Wake Up Sunshine since the week of release.

 

I much prefer Nine myself, though in fairness I’ve never been much of an ATL fan, so that’s no surprise.

Yeah I think i prefer Nine over WU,S . But that’s definitely no diss to ATL. Still a great album, just blink is more my cup of tea overall so I could see myself listening to more NINE songs over WU,S in the long run

This is fire. I already really liked the original but this gives it new life.
