2017 had so many albums I still go back to. Flower Boy, the Saturation trilogy, Luv is Rage 2, DAMN. The past couple years of releases just don't seem to have been on the same level although obviously albums I love have come out since

Travis Scott has been cribbing bits and pieces of other popular rappers' sound for years, to the point where it's sort of morphed into its own thing. I'm not too surprised that he's massive now. "Upper Echelon" is still probably my favorite song of his lol

 

It was the perfect week for Travis Scott tbh. He had the fortnite community behind him, the streetwear community and TikTok because that song is insanely popular on TikTok.

 

All of that is news to me haha, I didn't know any of those 3 things

 

the song debuted on a fortnite concert and with the fortnite release came a giant clothing release so the streetwear community was hyped.

It’s also become a insanely popular song on the TikTok community as a meme about the cops coming to arrest somebody.

I love Travis, I'd never call him an amazing rapper or anything but his production is always immaculate, he gets amazing features and he can write a fucking hook

Really disappointed in Thug lately. He put out a collab tape with Chris Brown today called Slime & B.

 

Yeah, it's so gross. I was hoping this was one of the thousands of hip hop projects that gets announced but never materializes, but even the intention alone is already horrible.

 

I mean it's just another to the list of shitty things Thug has done recently
