They would answer FOIA requests under guidance from their legal office and because of the laws mentioned in the article they've decided they cannot release those records and it's not like biden's gonna take them to court over it lol

 

So the UK is trialing a virus tracing app this week. Apparently it's set up to keep users anonymous, won't let the government track individuals or their movement. Should it be trusted? Is there something inherently authoritarian in it?

 

Would need more information about the app itself to know. If it’s using the system set up by Google/Apple, then it’s as good as you could hope for from a privacy standpoint, their system is really smart, if it’s not, then I wouldn’t endorse it.

It gets kinda nerdy in a few places, but it's very thorough. I agree with the overall analysis as well that anything that does this kind of tracing needs to act in this kind of way for the best privacy to data trade offs.

 

I think Democrats should refuse to negotiate and vote on any relief bill unless it includes money for the postal service. I can’t imagine many voters would be upset that the democrats are holding it hostage to save the post office.

I mean are they just going to wait until the day before they run out of money to try and help them?
