New stuff for my songs

1. Vader - Solitude in Madness - "Sanctification Denied" - it's Vader, you know you're getting quality death metal. Unsurprisingly good.
2. Umbra Vitae - Shadow of Life - "Atheistic Aesthetic" - pretty sure @swboyd posted these guys before, super band with members of Converge, Gnaw Their Tongues, and Uncle Acid.
3. Havok - V - "Cosmetic Surgery" - between this and the new Warbringer last week, it's a good time for THRASH METAL. At least the lyrics aren't as bad as their last album.

 

Sarpanitum - Blessed Be My Brothers - I Defy For I Am Free. One of the most unique acts in brutal death metal right now. Straight up does sound like something coming right out of medieval England.
Nine Treasures - Bodhicitta - Bodhicitta. You can tell these guys got inspired by Tengger Cavalry but still manage to do their own thing.
Humanity's Last Breath - Detestor - Ocean Drinker. This track may actually fall in my list of the top five heaviest things I have ever heard in my life. Sheer condensed mass.

 

Not really/onmy metal but a bunch of bands from Sacred Bones Records covering Sabbath.

So far the playlist all around has been enjoyable. A few standout tracks from bands I’d never listened to before. I really dig the Pijn & Conjurer song ‘Sunday’. Loved ‘Wildfire’ by Sabbat. The Crypt Sermon song was dope as well.

I'm not usually into Metalcore but thank you for showing me that Century track, they have a sludgy, kind of Isis inspired take on the genre. Thanks for showing me something new and good!
I love and own that ASM demo so that's another great choice.
I have listened to Mammoth Grinder before but never this release, good stuff again! Solid Death Metal with obvious punk influences from the hardcore, crust and grind departments.

No particular theme, just songs I dig.

Vengeful Spectre - Vengeful Spectre - Rainy Night Carnage (Chinese Melodic Black Metal from this year. Well written, for fans of bands like Chthonic and Black Kirin)
Blood Ceremony - The Eldritch Dark - Ballad of the Weird Sisters (What if Black Sabbath was actually a coven of witches influenced by Jethro Tull?)
Death - The Sound of Perseverance - To Forgive is to Suffer (No one has picked a song from Death yet. I chose this deep cut from their final album to showcase things past their bigger singles. RIP Chuck. One of the only bands to have no duds in their discography even with a stylistic change. He did the primitive, evil stuff as well as the progressive, cerebral stuff.)

 

My stuff today is black or death metal with trad leanings, creating cool fusions of genres that are catchy as hell.

Chapel of Disease - ...and as We Have Seen the Storm, We Have Embraced the Eye - "Void of Words" - death metal with trad hooks. The break in this song will catch you by surprise.
Slaegt - The Wheel - "Masician" - one of my favorite 2017 releases. Black metal with heavy metal tendencies. Catchy at.
Inconcessus Lux Lucis - The Crowning Quietus - "Fever Upon the Firmament" - another underappreciated 2017 release. Black metal rife with trad riffs and breaks. The last half of this song will have you thinking you're listening to Iron Maiden all of a sudden.

 

That Century album was like the last metalcore album I got into.

 

Also was not expecting to hear Fair to Midland on the playlist lol, definitely caught me off guard

Wow, I have never seen anyone talk about Inconcessus Lux Lucis on here! Nice! The song you picked and Amour Rides are so good.

 

Pissgrave - Suicide Euphoria - Suicide Euphoria. When I first heard this song, I thought the vocals sounded like a blowtorch. Still kinda do.
Ingested - The Architect of Extinction - Extinction Event. Ingested have come a long way, but they deserve more credit for this record.
Elvenking - Red Silent Tides - Runereader. Elvenking are underrated.

 

His cleans sounding better than ever, but the ending to the song is siccckkk

 

I have that Elvenking record on picture disc and I have a Pissgrave shirt buried in my closet. Variety is the spice of life.
