Friendship - Undercurrent - Vertigo (Mysterious Japanese grind/sludge/powerviolence crew in the vein of Full of Hell/Primitive Man/Weekend Nachos. Just heavy, heavy shit all around.)

Phrenelith - Desolate Endscape - Deluge in Ashes (Danish death metal. Probably my favorite death metal release from the last 5 years)

Valkyrie - Valkyrie - Withered Tree (Personal favorite of mine for years now from Shenandoah valley in Virginia. Dope blend of traditional heavy metal and stoner metal)

 

Listening to the playlist to start the morning, see if anything new sticks out to me to dive deeper.

 

Are we sure it's a snare and not a metal pot?

 

My choices for today:

Agalloch - The Mantle - In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion (My favorite metal album that is not from my favorite band. Perfection.)
Oranssi Pazuzu - Värähtelijä - Vasemman käden hierarkia (The best black metal acid trip that you don't need to take acid for. You still should though.)
Knelt Rote - Trespass - Succumb (Wargrind filth.)

Ok here we go THRASH METAL THVRSDAY

1. Sabbat (UK) - Dreamweaver - "Wildfire" - I just love the vocal style for this band. I don't know how to describe it, just listen to it.
2. Coroner - Mental Vortex - "Semtex Revolution" - I've posted this song before but other people need to hear it if they already haven't.
3. Forbidden - Twist Into Form - "Step by Step" - criminally underrated thrash band. Great album full of sick riffs.

same for me, I put this album earlier today. That was a nice ride.

 

Stellar choices. Sadly Murmuüre is not on spotify so let me know if you want another choice. That whole album is fantastic though. Regular rotation on my tape deck. Sadly it's a bootleg and it's at my home in Washington. I may just get the digital copy from bandcamp.

 

Bison: Lovelessness - Clozapine Dream
Lair of the Minotaur: War Metal Battle Master - Horde of Undead Vengance
Rotten Sound: Cursed - Hollow

 

Eluveite - Origins - King. Trying to avoid picking singles and I selected this one simply for that incredible violin solo that, fun fact, the violinist stated in a track commentary that her private instructor described the solo as "basically impossible," yet she nails it anyway.
Anaal Nathrakh - In the Constellation of the Black Widow - In the Constellation of the Black Widow. One of the best metal tracks ever written. Straight up.
Fair to Midland - Arrows & Anchors - Rikki Tikki Tavi. One of my quirkiest jams from freshman year of college. Loved this band for their zany vocalist.

And the mystery is exactly why we like it.

 

Your Anaal Nathrakh song is my second off that album behind the closer Blood Eagles but still I am not complaining. A rager of a song off my third favorite album by them. Can you guess what my two favorites are?
