I really hate how eager everywhere across this country seems to be to open things back up. All signs are pointing to infection numbers going down. Stick with this another month or so and we should all be in a much better shape.

But if everyone tries to reopen, the best case scenario the summer heat + people being a little smarter means we'll get lucky and stuff will stay under control. and then go "look the scientists were wrong we didn't kill everyone by reopening all hail emperor Trump" and in the worst case scenario, everything picks back up and its july before we even get back to the point where we're at now.

I’m definitely in the boat where I wish we could reopen and everything go back to normal. I want to return to work while feeling like I’m immune to the virus while still being cautious, wearing a face mask and spending 23 hours a day in my home. Yet I roll my eyes at these people at the reopen rallies. I get it, it’s an inconvenience to people and they reach a breaking point but they are so oblivious to the realities of it.

 

Man I just can’t anymore. Can all the “open it” people all go to one island and figure out how to do their “I’m a Fox News shill” job to the other 20k morons. I’m so fucking tired.

Anything short of everything being open because the death/infection rate is at a manageable/humane level is a no go to me. Pointless too.

 

yup. not even just things returning to normal. I'm okay with a few more months of no shows, people keeping masks on, but shops and stuff being open and being allowed to visit friends again.

but at least in Seattle we're not quite there yet. We're getting close. But I'm worry we're gonna slide back over the next month instead of continuing to slow steady progress we need to reach that point.

 

So what’s the process like to get refunded by political campaigns? Because if Bernie’s campaign is announcing tomorrow that it’s directing its cash to Biden/a Biden supporting PAC, uhhhh I’m going to need that back.

Can’t say how much biden is one of the uniquely worst candidates possible for this time and how having pete and amy and steyer and mike! and the 5 John mulaneys on that stage were there to distract from how bad he truly is.

No one can convince me they aren't trying to lose these on purpose or at least dgaf if they lose. Controlled opposition

 

They probably agreed that it would get too much push back to get rid of democracy in one fall swoop so it’s part of the plan to ease it in, that way when they do cancel the election the pushback will be much more minuscule. Then biden can go back into hiding and the msm could feign outrage while enabling what caused it all to begin with.

 

I think they want to defeat progressives/lefties first and foremost but I don’t think they are losing on purpose or don’t care to win. For reasons I don’t understand because he should be a complete dud Biden is popular and got a lot of votes out. He somehow wouldn’t be that bad of a candidate if we’re strictly talking winning the election if it weren’t for the credible assault allegation (also would be nice if he didn’t downplay the virus for votes and stopped running racist ads).

 

Meanwhile, cuomo hasn’t allowed mail in voting yet. You can vote absentee if you have a “temporary illness” but so far he’s keeping the polls open because he despises democracy and wants poor people to die.

 

I mean every single poll seems to say that Biden is more likable than Hillary. There is obviously a lot that goes into that - sexism, etc. But saying that he outright can't and won't win against Trump is just wrong.

 

I'm not confident in anything if we don't have nationwide vote by mail in November. And the chances of that are probably slim. Trump's base will show up to vote in a pandemic. Democrats..not so sure.

 

In a bit of good news, I checked and $522 was added to my UI payment this week, supposedly I should get retroactive pay from the previous 5 weeks next week
