Lol imagine Pierce coming back from the dead, thus making his bequeathing to Troy null and void so his entire sailing trip was pointless

 

I think if Chevy were to come back, it’d be in a similar way to how he did in season 5. A couple of holograms they filmed but never used and they were stored away somewhere and Abed finds them. Or something. I dunno.

 

I'd hope if they did a movie Troy would come back, even if it was for a small role. It would be nice to see Troy and Abed together again.

I'd like to think Donald would come back, he went to the cast dinner after that reunion panel a few months ago and when he hosted SNL he showed he was still fully capable of doing goofy comedy. I could see him coming in like halfway through the movie

 

I always pictured the Community movie being "The Search for Troy", so even then, Donald can show up very late, and only be needed on set for like a day.

 

In my dreams he signs on for the full movie and at the very beginning he just shows up and the gang is like omg you’ve been sailing around the world and he just says “it was CRAZY, but, it wasn’t?” And they never reference it again.

 

I know a lot of people want the potential movie being about going to find Troy but that's always sounded way too cartoony for me and kind of against the message of everyone moving on in the finale, I'd like it to be more grounded with outlandish elements like the first two and the last season, and for Troy to come back organically somehow

 

I honestly can't think of a way this movie will work well given the S6 finale in any way that isn't pure fanservice, and I'm ok with that. I think Community is best in 20 minute episodes. I don't expect anything incredible, just a fun trip down the nostalgia train.

 

I’ve always thought that if we got a Community movie it’d be neat if they incorporated elements of each season. For example, maybe Abed is back in town working on a movie because he helped the Locations department scout out Greendale as a set piece. So in that way they could incorporate the “documentary” episode from each season where here we’re occasionally seeing the behind the scenes footage ala Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking, etc.

There are so many things they could do.

 

I think the best option to get it as close to the original feeling of the show without it feeling forced would be a Greendale class reunion, because a community college reunion dance is the exact type of thing the Dean would do.

If it ended with paintball, I wouldn't want Troy to turn up until the end to save Abed from someone.

I would probably burst into happy tears if that were to happen.

Idk why I got this sudden idea, but I can't stop thinking, had this show been revived, they would've found a clever way to do a pandemic adjacent episode ala Parks and Rec

 

Like, was "Herstory of Dance" a B- Season 3 episode that somehow snuck into Season 4? This is quality.

 

Ooof, and it whiplashes right into the puppet episode

 

The puppet ep has Sara Bareilles and Jason Alexander, so I don't mind it ha. I just finished S4 yesterday, and honestly it's fine for me. Feels off compared to the previous seasons, but I didn't hate it.

 

Season 4 definitely holds up better on repeat viewings. I know when I first watched it, I was almost watching it through my fingers in case it was bad without Harmon. Sure, there are obvious parts where the show runners are trying too hard to be Community. And some are just bad. But it’s not unbearable like many say it is.

 

The season premiere and puppet ones are completely unwatchable for me but I can get through the others. They're definitely not very good though heh

 

The Chang stuff was dumb, and then it pretty much goes nowhere at the end, which makes it even more of a head-scratcher.

I definitely enjoyed the episode with Brie Larson and the one where Abed and Troy switch bodies.
