Pretty sure she's 14 in the game. Regardless, I would definitely rather see her portrayed by an actor in their early 20s than a 10 year old..

I think they should do some wild casting like John C. Reilly as Joel and Elle Fanning as Ellie. Or even better. Only people with the same first name can play the main characters.

Guess we've got Joel McHale to look forward to.

 

Would much rather a show just take place in the same universe than be a direct retelling of the game

 

I saw someone's post who brought up a good point. This allows people who haven't played/aren't into games to experience the story for the first time. I think that is pretty cool considering there's a lot of source material to pull from. I personally don't think anyone can match the charm of Ellie when she's trying to learn how to whistle or anything like that because the gameplay happening in tandem with moments like that is what it's all about. Being thrown into a situation like that, experiencing it first hand and having real stuff like that happening as you are interacting with everything.

 

I could totally see Troy Baker, Ashely Johnson and Nolan North popping up within the series with minor cameo appearances as other characters.

If following the game, what would you want the first season to end with? Henry/Sam? Joel getting wounded at the university? Or the full game?

 

Ideally, this will just be a mini series with maybe a second season for the second game, imo

Welp. Lack of self control just ruined this game for me.

Read the leaks and this is a huge disappointment after waiting 7 years. The story is total trash. Naughty dog dropped the ball hard.

Also to be clear now that I know more about the context of the leak fuck ND for abusing their workforce.

 

It’s pretty bad tbh, the cutscenes for the game are out there and it’s not good.

 

Though it’s out of context I’m sure.

 

Hard for all of those cut scenes to be out of context, especially since there are story summaries for what happens outside of the cutscenes to connect them. 90% of the story is known and imo it’s trash writing, especially for something they had years to write.

If there was a video game equivalent to GoT S8, this is it.

 

I just feel great sadness right now, been looking forward to this game for so long and to have it spoiled by an idiot
