OLTA is phenomenal, but I'm not sure it is quite as good as Antics.

    Same here.

Self-titled is their only misstep in my book.

Antics is too loaded in the front half, which are all bangers

  7. Junius' debut is a good Interpol album

Interpol definitely lost something when Carlos left. Like their last two records are alright but it lacked that touch of his that made their music pop

Punk Goes Pop as a collective series of albums has some bangers.

Punk Goes Acoustic and Punk Goes 80s are 100% A+ amazing
Punk Goes Pop and Punk Goes 90s are both fantastic
Punk Goes Acoustic 2 and Punk Goes Crunk have about a 50/50 hit rate

    the rest are very spotty

Agreed. I would've said "a lot of bangers" but felt that was too generous. But genuinely, the rest of the albums have maybe 3 or 4 good covers per album with usually one being a knockout.

Not a ringing endorsement, but all the same. Some of those covers are some of my favorite tracks ever, period.

I need to revisit Marauder, I didn’t care for it much when it came out

Maurader has some tracks but I lost interest after a couple months. El Pintor is really good and I listen to it semi regularly still.

Did you check out the Fine Mess EP...? there were a couple of tracks left off of Marauder that I would say are absolutely essential. Two in particular.

The Weekend & Real Life were the two tracks that I thought absolutely should have made the cut, especially because it sounded in interviews and stuff like they were both on there at one point pretty close to release. Both of the interludes are pretty pointless really.

In fairness though, I have been a HUGE fan of their b-sides during this more recent era of their music: All At Once, The Depths, Malfeasance, What Is What, The Weekend, Real Life
