1)Make Bing your default search engine and link your Microsoft/Xbox account
2) you start racking up points just by searching and they have daily quests type thing you can get more points for
3) Redeem your points for Xbox GCs and/or Gold Live Memberships.

You kinda have to be diligent with it cuz it definitely takes awhile to rack up enough points but for me it's become a habit at this point. Also you have to be on the lookout for when they have "Hot Deals" on the redemption page so you get more for less points.
